Hi,
I'm Dice, and I love to play!
|
Running
is my favorite thing.
|

You might not have seen it in my pictures,
but I'm tied to a fence on a chain.
You
see,
there's only a fence on one side of my yard.
|

I
beg the kids in my family to play with me,
but the ground is muddy, and they don't like it.
Plus,
they can get hurt if they get tangled up in my chain.
|

So
I have to run by myself, in a little semi-circle, tied up
on this chain.
It's boring... and lonely...
|

...
and frustrating!
|
|
Huh?
Did somebody say my name?
A
real fence? I'm getting a real, honest-to-goodness fence?
So I can run around for real?
Gosh,
who would do such a thing for little ol' me?
|

Of
course!
It's
the Coalition to Unchain Dogs!
|

It
was awfully cold, but this wonderful group of volunteers from
all over the Triangle
came to help out!
|

They
worked really hard
to make my yard clean and safe.
|

And
when they were finished,
I had a brand new fence.
|

And
I was finally FREE!
|

Free
to run!
|

And
the best part is that my family can now run and play with
me!
|

I
love playing with them, and they love playing with me!
|
|
Thank
you so much, Coalition volunteers!
You
deserve lots of wet, doggie kisses!
|
I'm
a happy dog now, but there are so many others who don't know
what it's like to run and play.
Now
that you've read my story and you see the wonderful work that
the Coalition vounteers do, won't you paw-lease consider helping
them out with your time or a donation?
Love,
Dice
