In addition to building fences and providing spay/neuter/vaccinations, the Coalition also advocates for regulation of tethering. The Coalition was instrumental in helping pass a tethering ordinance in Durham County, and it will go into effect at the end of June. We have been steadily building during the education and warning period over the last two years to build as many fences as possible to help people comply with the pending ordinance and even though we will continue to build fences indefinitely, we're making one big push during the Fence-A-Thon to help as many people and dogs as we can.

Volunteers from our other 7 chapters will be in Durham to help with the labor but we need your help to finance it.
